The Old Forge Gallery

The Old Forge Gallery is a beautiful old building, tucked away along the walk towards Boscastle Harbour. Originally, as the name suggests, the village’s forge, the building has hosted a series of local artists as its occupants in recent years.

In Spring 2024, Felix (they/them) took on the lease, and alongside their own, multidisciplinary work, the gallery is now an exhibition space for collaborative exhibitions. Workshops hosted by Felix and other local artists are held at regular intervals. The Old Forge Gallery is also a working studio for Felix, and you will often find them painting and printmaking, boilersuit on, jazz playing, in this beautiful old building.
The gallery is not only a place to walk through and look at works on the wall: it’s an inviting space to reflect and discover, with a comfortable sofa strategically placed next to a coffee table full of Felix’s most treasured art books – for anyone to be inspired by.
Felix’s hope for the gallery is that, through informal visits, exhibitions and workshops, locals and visitors will be encouraged to see art as an accessible, approachable process for everybody.
